Dr. Amit Keshri is presently serving as founding Professor and Head, Department of Head & Neck Surgery, SGPGIMS, Lucknow. Dr Keshri earlier served in Neuro-otology unit, Department of Neurosurgery from year July 2010 to June 2025 and was Professor and Unit Head of Neuro-otology Unit, SGPGIMS Lucknow, India. Dr. Keshri graduated (MBBS) from B J Medical College, Ahmedabad, India and received his Master in Otolaryngology & Head Neck Surgery Degree from B J Medical College Ahmedabad, India. He has received his Neuro-otology and skull base training from SGPGI, Lucknow. He has done UICC fellowship in Endoscopic Skull Base surgery from University of Malaya, Malaysia. He has also received American academy of Otolaryngology fellowship and been trained as visiting physician in House Ear Institute, Los Angeles, California (USA) for Neuro-otology and lateral skull base surgery.
Dr Keshri is has done FHNO fellowship at Tata Memorial center, Parel Mumbai, India in field of Head & Neck surgery and skull base in year 2022.
Dr. Keshri contributions include -establishing a well-developed Cochlear Implant service, including diagnostic, operative and rehabilitative services for patients suffering from Profound hearing loss. Established the first recognized course of post-Doctoral certificate course in Neuro-otology and skull base surgery.
He has established multidisciplinary endoscopic skull base surgery in the Department of Neurosurgery and Head & Neck Surgery. He is the author of more than 100 publications, including original papers, reviews, book chapters and editor of book. His main research work has been in the areas of otology, neuro-otology and skull base surgery including tumors of paranasal sinus. He also has avid interest in Complex surgery of Head & Neck region.
Dr Keshri received fellowship and Awards including Junior Consultant Award paper in UPAOICON 2013. London Temporal Bone Course and fellowship at Guys and St Thomas' hospital London 2013.Best temporal bone dissector award in Cochlear Implant workshop at AIIMS Patna 2014.Best paper award ISNOCON 2014.UICC Fellowship in 2015 and AAO-HNS Fellowship in 2016.He has been an invited faculty for more than 70 national and international conference and workshops. His podium paper in on Juvenile nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma was adjudged one of the best presentations of American Academy National conference in 2018.
He is an active member of American Academy of Otolaryngology, Association Otolaryngologist of India, Indian Society of Otology and NES of India, Foundation of Head & Neck oncology, Skull Base Society of India.
He is ex-secretary of Neuro-otological and Equilibriometric Society of India (NES) and ex-President of Uttar Pradesh chapter of Association of Otolaryngologist of India. He is ex- Governing Body Member of Association of Otolaryngologist of India.
He is on editorial board of various national and international journals in field of Otolaryngology & Head, Neck Surgery and Skull Base surgery journals.
